Spelling is a vital part of the written language as it enables effective communication. Many parents are concerned when their children are not able to spell well. Our school currently uses the "Ants in the Apple" spelling program which targets all four areas of learning how to spell. Implicit teaching of rules of spelling together with building children's understanding of letter patterns build on each child's desire to learn
