Wellbeing

Like all NSW public schools, we provide safe learning and teaching environments to encourage healthy, happy, successful and productive students.

The department is committed to creating quality learning opportunities for children and young people. These opportunities support wellbeing through positive and respectful relationships and fostering a sense of belonging to the school and community.

Additional learning support

Our school has the benefit of having 4 Support Unit classes, which meet the needs of students from a wider catchment area than our school zone. These classes are an IM class, an IO class and two Autism transition classes.

Applications for consideration to be placed in these Support Unit Classes are processed through Miranda Office, Student Support Services in the first instance.

Placements into the unit classes are made through a selection panel process, which is separate from the school's administration.

The Support Unit children of our school take an active part in our school activities, and have many opportunities for integration with mainstream students, across a number of environments. They are well accepted and respected by our school community.
