P & C
Our Parents and Citizens' Association (P & C) is made up of parents and c arers, teachers and community members. The P & C meets regularly and members are incted to offer input and feedback on school policies, management plans and decision making. The P & C also has an important role as the school's major fundraiser.
Our school is supported by an active P & C. The P & C meets at 7.30pm every 3rd Monday of the month, during school terms. These meetings are held in the school staffroom. All are welcome to attend. Dates of meetings are published on the school calendar.
Engadine Public School P & C Association hold many activities for the students and the school. Some of the ways the P & C have used the funds in the past have been to:-
- provide new home readers for Kindy and Stage 1
- install playground markings such as the brightly coloured World Map outside the school hall
- provide new books for the library
- purchase new sporting equipment for the students
- install air conditioning in every classroom in the school
- in 2018, the P & C donated over $18,000 to the school to purchase new Chromebooks and other IT equipment for all students to use
- contribute to the installation of an Aboriginal garden and outdoor learning space
The P & C are currently fundraising and planning for a new universal and inclusive playground environment. As of June 2020, they have raised $24,000 for this project but still have a long way to go!
